University of Leicester cardio-vascular research. We have been contacted by the research team in cardiology from the University of Leicester and Glenfield Hospital. They are conducting a study that looks into the hearts of those that exercise at higher levels, specifically into rhythm changes (called atrial fibrillation) and the risk of stroke. The team have asked us to publicise their research and ask for volunteers to help them by completing a short survey. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has previously had a stroke. Anyone who is at least 40 years of age and competes in sporting events at any level (including club cricket) is eligible to complete the survey. We encourage anyone eligible to help by completing the survey here
