Clubs' bulletin No 1 - 29 January
Cricket ball orders. Clubs are reminded to submit ball orders on Play-Cricket. The deadline is 31 January.
Cup competitions. Clubs are reminded that, from the coming season:
except in the Viking Cricket Cup, where a result is not achieved on the field in a match up to and including the quarter-final stage, the game will be decided by a ‘bowl out’ or ‘coin toss’
pitches must be marked with the 17” lines to assist umpires judge wide balls in the Viking Cricket Cup, Whitworth Cup, the Mick Savage Trophy and both T20 competitions.
Fixture rearrangements. Clubs in divisions three and below are reminded that the deadline for any alterations to the fixture list is Monday 31st January. Rearrangements must be notified to the competitions manager, Matt Summerhill.
Handbook and website contact information. We thank all the clubs who have responded to our request for names and contact information for the handbook and website, and remind those clubs that have not yet responded to reply to Graham Swallow as soon as possible please.
National T20 Blast competition. The 2022 Area Finals will be hosted by the Nottinghamshire Premier League on Sunday 7 August. The YCSPL representatives will be in a group with the Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire winners. The Regional Finals will be held on Sunday 28 August.
Royal London Cup. The draw has been made for the 2022 competition. Ties affecting YCSPL clubs are:

Safeguarding. We would like to remind all club safeguarding officers to ensure that all relevant people are correctly covered with DBSs and that all safeguarding documentation is up-to-date.
Teas. Following requests from a number of clubs not to provide teas from the 2022 season. The LEB secretary will be writing to all clubs asking them to decide whether they will provide teas in 2022. Clubs who do not want to provide teas must:
pay for 11 teas when they play games at clubs who do provide teas
provide free teas for two scorers and two umpires at all games
provide an area for players, scorers and umpires to have their teas
provide hot and cold drinks free of charge at the tea interval for players, scorers and umpires
Clubs will be asked to confirm whether they will be providing teas next season by responding to Graham Swallow by 14 February 2022. We will publicise whether clubs will provide teas in the handbook and on the website, so that everyone is aware.
