2023 cup draws 
 
The draws for the YCSPL 2023 cup competitions were made at the Senior Section committee meeting on 24 November. Note that the draw for the Yorkshire Leagues Knock-Out Cup (formerly the Viking Cricket Cup) will be made jointly with YPLN later this month, and that the venues for the Whitworth Cup and T20 finals will be agreed at the Premier Section committee meeting on 7 December, at which the draw for the T20 Blast will also be made. The draws are as follows:

ECB 2022 National Grassroots Cricket Awards 
 
We congratulate Cleethorpes CC, the winners of the ECB Grassroots Cricket Safe Hands Award for ‘going above and beyond to create a positive environment for young people to play the game’. Also honoured was Barrie Cox, of Whiston Parish Church, the winner of the YCB Grassroots Cricket Award Lifetime Achiever award, and who was highly commended in the National Awards for his many years of service to his club. Congratulations too to Lindsay Graves of Sprotbrough, who won the 2022 George Reah Award for ‘Unsung Heroes’ at the YCB awards.
