          Clubs' bulletin no 18 - 26 August

AGM

Notice is hereby given to all clubs of the arrangements for the League AGM. This will be held at the Phoenix Sports & Social Club, Pavilion Lane, Brinsworth, Rotherham S60 5PA, on Monday 14 November (7.00pm). Any proposals from clubs for changes to League rules or playing conditions, or nominations for board or committee positions, must be received by the LEB secretary, Graham Swallow, by Friday 29 September, in accordance with paragraph 17 of the League constitution. The agenda, accounts and details of all nominations and proposals will be circulated to clubs in week commencing 17 October.

Billy Oates Memorial Cup

The Billy Oates Memorial Cup final will take place this Sunday, 28 August, between Upper Haugh 3rds v Whitley Hall 3rds, at Fishlake CC, with a 12 noon start.

ECB Vitality T20 Plate

Good luck to Aston Hall CC in the North Region final of the Club T20 Plate this coming Sunday! They will face Ribblesdale Wanderers in the first semi-final at the Al-Murad Stadium, Elsecar CC (10.00).

Hall of Fame

At the League presentation dinner in November, we would like to induct more members into our League Hall of Fame. Is there anyone at your club who has given exceptional service to the club or to South Yorkshire cricket in general over a number of years, and who you think deserves to be in our Hall of Fame? If so, please drop an email with details of the person and what they have done to Roger Pugh by the end of September.

League Safeguarding Manager

League Safeguarding Manager Maurice Gilliatt has decided to retire from his role. Maurice has worked hard in a number of administrative roles in league cricket over his long career and we thank him for all his work for cricket in South Yorkshire, and the YCSPL in particular. Lindsay Pepper will take over the role on an interim basis until the League AGM.

Live-Streaming

Clubs are reminded of the need to ensure that the League’s live-streaming policy is followed, in particular, in terms of notifying opposing teams and umpires in advance (except where blanket notification has already been provided to umpires in the cases of Ackworth, Barnsley (Shaw Lane) and Darfield).

Payments to the League

The South Yorkshire Senior Cricket League Lloyds bank account, number 00249176, is no longer active but is still being used by clubs for paying League invoices. This is causing unnecessary extra work for our treasurer. Please follow the instructions on the invoice when making payments.

The treasurer is using Play-Cricket to issue invoices to clubs. Please keep a regular check on your club ‘s Play-Cricket account to check for any invoices or order forms recently sent, for example, the pink ball order form sent within the last week.
