ECB Vitality T20 competitions

Good luck to Doncaster Town CC and Aston Hall CC who will represent our league in the ECB Vitality T20 competitions this Sunday 7 August.

Doncaster are in the T20 Blast area finals at Wollaton CC in Nottinghamshire, where they will play Sleaford in the second area semi-final at 13.00.
Aston Hall are in the T20 Plate area finals at Bawtry CC, where they will play Bawtry of the Bassetlaw League in the first match at 10.30, and Driffield of YPLN in the third match.

Electronic scoring

Against an ECB target of 40%, our league is currently achieving 84.95%, an increase of 10.98% on last year, making us one of the leading leagues in the country in this respect. This is a remarkable achievement and we would like to thank everyone involved. We encourage clubs not using electronic scoring to do so iof at all possible – it would be great to achieve 100% electronic scoring in our league, and thus enable all our games to be on Live Scores. If you need any advice on this or other scoring issues, please contact Steve Ward

Premier Section captains’ meeting

A reminder to all Premier Section clubs (Premier and Championship Divisions) about next week’s captains’ meeting (Wednesday 10 August at 7.30pm). The meeting will be held in the tea room at the Al-Murad Stadium, Elsecar CC. The main purpose is to discuss the findings from the player survey, and to seek views from captains about the way forward on these issues. If the club captain cannot attend, a senior player should attend in his place.

Safeguarding

There have been a number of incidents this season of unacceptable and abusive comments being made to junior players. This is not acceptable and will not be tolerated in our league. Any reports will be fully investigated and offenders sanctioned.
