Tickets are £23 (discounted early bird price) from Matt Morland (07951 896078).

Anti-Discrimination code & training. The YCSPL has adopted the ECB Anti-Discrimination Code, which all clubs are expected to observe. A short (30 minute) online anti-discrimination training course has been released by ECB, and we strongly urge clubs to ensure that key club officials and captains complete this training.

Eid al-Fitr 2023. The celebration of Eid in the UK is forecast to be around 21-23 April. Any club that wishes to seek a fixture rearrangement, or has any other special requests in connection with the celebration of Eid, that coincide with a YCSPL fixture, should contact their opposition as soon as possible to discuss. The deadline for any rearrangements is 31 March, and any agreed rearrangements must be notified to the Competitions Manager by this date. Any game which is not played and for which a rearranged date cannot be agreed, will count as a cancelled game (4pts each).

If there are any issues which cannot be resolved between the clubs concerned, or if any club has any similar issues due to other religious festivals during the season, please contact the relevant section Head, Roger Pugh or David Ward

Frogbox. We understand that a number of clubs intend to use Frogbox during the coming season. If your club is one of these, please note that:

• the League’s live-streaming policy must be followed at all times
• Frogbox cannot be used for scoring purposes in YCSPL games;
all games in the Premier Section must be scored on a laptop using Play-Cricket Scorer Pro and Live Scores
all games in the Senior Section must be scored on an iPad, tablet or smartphone using P-C Scorer, using Live Scores wherever possible, or manually in a scorebook and uploaded onto P-C
• scorers should not be asked to be responsible for live-streaming of games

GDPR ‘Permission to Publish’ authorisations. Although Graham Swallow has now many authorisations returned, giving us permission to publish contacts in the handbook and on the website, there are still 46 people who have not responded, including some 1st and 2nd XI contacts plus Junior and W&G contacts. Graham has had a couple of replies saying that his email had gone into spam, so if please check there. Similarly, if any of the contacts have not seen or misplaced the form, please contact Graham

Pre-Season Meeting. Please note that the Pre-Season Meeting for all clubs is arranged for 5 April (7.00pm) at Shaw Lane Sports Club, Barnsley – please note the new venue! All clubs must send a representative. Handbooks, match balls and team cards will be available before the meeting.

Safeguarding courses. The next Safe Hands course is on Wednesday 8 March at Elsecar CC (6.00pm). Places are still available – click here to book. All clubs must ensure that their safeguarding officers attend a Safe Hands course every three years; the course is not mandatory for other club officials, but it will be very useful and they are more than welcome to attend. We will publicise future courses through the website and social media.
