The Over 60s World Cup in Chennai has just concluded with an eight-wicket win for Australia over England in the final. England won all their group stage games, then beat India in the semi-final.

The YSCPL was represented by Nick Gaywood of Sheffield Collegiate (second left, standing, above), who, despite nursing an injury during the group stages, was amongst the runs throughout, including brisk thirties at the top of the order in both the semi-finals and final.

YCSPL umpire Mel Mahmood and her husband Rash were also on the tour – Mel umpired one of the England warm-up games and this had the honour of becoming the first woman ever to umpire at the Madras Cricket Club Chepauk Stadium – whilst Rash both commentated on the Nexus YouTube coverage of the games and wrote reports on the games for the official over-60s website.

Mel, Rash and Nick sat down at the end of the tour to discuss their experience and have kindly sent us their recording of their discussion, which can be heard via our facebook page at https://fb.watch/qG0A3ELH5u/
