Here is this week’s round-up of information for YCSPL clubs.
Covid-19. Following the government announcements this week, there are no changes to the existing rules for cricket at this time.
National Village KO Cup. Houghton Main CC will play Woolviston CC of the North Yorkshire & South Durham League at home this Sunday (1pm) with a regional final place at stake. We wish them all the best for the game!
Play-Cricket. Three end-of-month dates to remember this season:
Overseas registrations must be on the YCSPL Play-Cricket website no later than 30 June 2021. Please remember to allow time for the League Compliance Manager to complete any checks.
Player transfers must be registered on the YCSPL Play-Cricket website no later than 31 July 2021.
Loan player transfers in eligible divisions will end on Saturday 28 August 2021.
T20 Blast. The first group stage of the T20 Blast will be played this Sunday.

Umpires fees. At each venue, the home team must pay both umpires £30 and each away team must pay both umpires £15.
Weather. In view of the indifferent weather forecasted for Sunday, clubs are reminded that a result can be obtained provided both sides have had opportunity to bat for a minimum of five overs.
YCB news
ECB Inspired to Play grants. The deadline for applications for grants has been extended to Friday 16th July. Grants up to £1,250 are available to increase the number of children and/or women participating in the game by supporting the delivery of new/enhanced activity in June to September 2021and is open to all ECB-affiliated cricket clubs in England and Wales. Monthly Appreciation Shoutouts. In June ECB will be celebrating female coaches and female coach developers by recognising their achievements and share stories of how they are making a difference, transforming the game to create more opportunities for women to get involved and inspiring the next generation of female players and coaches. The closing date is Monday 21st June. Click here to nominate.
Player survey. To help them understand the challenges faced over the last year; ensure that players and volunteers are heard; and to help them be proactive in supporting the network, the ECB are delivering a mid-season pulse survey. As in previous years, the Cricket Playing Survey will also take place at the end of the season. Please encourage players and volunteers to complete the pulse survey here.
