The YCSPL is deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Kevin Motley.
Kevin was an extraordinary scorer for Harrogate, Barnsley Woolley Miners and the Yorkshire Diamonds until ill-heath resulted in his retirement from the box in 2019.
One of the first scorers to have earned the Level 3 award, he was noted for his top-class record-keeping and his ground-breaking work on computerised scoring.
Kevin introduced the annual digest of league records, named after him as the Motley Almanac, which has become the League's statistical bible.
We send our most sincere condolences to his family and friends.
