It is with deep sadness that we have learned of the passing of Dave Smith, a long-serving member of Wickersley Old Village Cricket Club.
Dave has passed away at the age of 81, leaving behind a wonderful legacy that will never be forgotten at the club and throughout the South Yorkshire cricket fraternity.
Dave was a club legend at Wickersley Old Village CC, serving as a player, captain, committee member, secretary and scorer. His memory will live on as a sheer testament to his tireless dedication and commitment to the club he loved.
All our thoughts and commiserations are with Dave's close family and friends, and everyone at the Burrows Oval, Northfield Lane, Wickersley.
