The second YCSPL Annual General Meeting took place at the Phoenix Sports & Social Club, Rotherham, on Wednesday 16 November 2022.

The full notes of the meeting, including reports and balance sheet, are now published on the website, but the following is a summary of the main points from the meeting:

clubs voted by a substantial majority that teas should be provided at all YCSPL games in 2023
two proposals to change the current bowlers' overs limitations were both rejected, so bowlers' limitations will continue as in 2022
a restructuring of the T20 Blast competition was approved - the competition will now feature only one group stage day, in line with the T20 Plate; there will be a semi-finals day in both T20 Blast and T20 Plate competitions; and the finals of both competitions will be held on the same day on the same ground
Mel Mahmood (Participation Manager), Lindsay Pepper (Safeguarding Manager) and Roger Pugh (Head of Premier Section) were elected to the League Executive Board in place of Liz Lazenby, Maurice Gilliatt and Mark Beardshall repectively, who have all stood down from their roles
there is a vacancy on the Premier Section committee which can be filled by a co-optee, and in order to redress an imbalance between Premier Division and Championship Division representatives, we would like to co-opt a member from a Championship club - anyone interested should contact Roger Pugh
following feedback in the player survey, we are setting up a small group to look at communications within the League - if anyone is interested in contributing to this, please contact Roger Pugh

The draws for the cup competitions will be published before the end of November.
