During the current Covid pandemic, League newcomers Parkhead Cricket Club have been doing their bit to support frontline NHS staff.

Ian Spilman from Parkhead CC says, “Everyone at the club has been following the pandemic closely and we wanted to do our bit to support the staff in Sheffield Teaching Hopsitals.”

The club raised money to buy five coffee machines, plus pods and biscuits, for staff working on the front line against Covid-19.

Gareth Aston, CEO for Sheffield Hospitals Charity, who received the machines from Ian said, “A huge thank you to Ian and the club for the machines and for their kind words of support for the staff at the hospitals. Both will go a long way to boosting the spirits of staff on the frontline against COVID-19.”
