Weekly clubs bulletin no 6 - 3 June

Captains’ meeting. Clubs are reminded that a meeting for all Premier Section captains has been arranged for Monday 7th June at 7.00pm, by Zoom. The principal issue for discussion is the captains’ marking system. Clubs are asked to ensure that their team captain attends, or if necessary, the vice-captain. If there are any queries on this, please contact Steve Ward.
Cup update. The second round of the Mick Savage trophy is being played this Sunday. The revised draw is:

Division 4 fixtures. Following the withdrawal of Adwick-le-Street 1st XI, some fixtures for the remainder of the season in this division have been revised – see summary of changes below. These fixtures can also be found on our website. In respect of fixtures involving Adwick-le-Street 1st XI that have already been played, admin rule 19.vi.a will apply; ‘all fixtures involving that club will be removed from the league table; ie, all points accrued in them will be lost; however, all team and individual performances in these games will stand.
Fielding restrictions. Clubs are reminded that there is no ‘maximum of five fielders on the leg side’ restriction in Premier Section league games. The restriction does apply in the Senior Section, Cup and t20 competitions.
Regional T20 Plate final. The YCSPL has been asked to host the regional finals of the T20 plate on Sunday 22 August this year. These will be held at the Al Murad Stadium, Elsecar CC. There are two Regional finals – North section at Elsecar and South section at Wokingham. There will be four teams present at each, and there will be three matches on the day - two semi-finals followed by a final. Full details will be published hearer the time.
YCB update. The following update has been provided by YCB.
• Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Manager. Mo Hussain has been appointed EDI Manager across Yorkshire Cricket.
• Coach Education. The section are looking for the following:
We’re looking for a club in Doncaster to host the new ECB support coach course (3 hours) one evening. We have one at South Kirby so maybe not too close to that. It is a free course for 16 years +, parents, volunteers etc. Probably in July.
We also have a female only Foundation I at Thorpe Hesley CC on Tuesday evenings 22nd and 29th June, 6th and 13th July. There are £50 bursaries available.
We have a blended (virtual classrooms and face to face modules) ECB Level 2 qualification starting mid-June for more details and how to register contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
All courses are currently running outside at clubs.
We have bursaries to support coaches wanting to access courses who will be working with women and girls, disabilities and BAME.
