Division 5 
 
The highlight of the weekend in the fifth division was a fluent 32*(42) from Michael Brown for Penistone 2nd team against Rotherham Town 2nds. Penistone reached 49-2 in 17.4 overs with Handsworth JSC reaching 46-2 in 17 in the only action of the weekend. Three points were once again shared out across the division.

Division 6 
 
Only one fixture was completed in Division 6 as rain affected the south of the region. Wombwell Main stay top of the league with Doncaster 3rd XI only 3 points behind with a game in hand. At the other end of the table, Brookhouse pushed themselves away from the danger zone with a full point victory over Wentworth.

Brookhouse's decision to bowl first seemed to be rewarded very quickly in their bottom of the table clash with Wentworth. Wickets tumbled regularly with opening bowlers Thomas Green (5-25) and Howard Lane (4-17) ripping through the batting line up finishing the Wentworth innings on 48 all out after being 41-4. Thomas Snow hit 20 and Andrew Brock 13 (from 6 balls) for the hosts as they chased down their total in 11 overs.

Caribbean Sports Club 2nds v Millhouses Works 2nds 
 
Only 10 overs were possible in the game with a 50 partnership between Iain Mallet (32) and Tom Winter (15) for Millhouses being the only standout in another rain affected fixture as they finished with 52-1.

After winning toss and electing to bat, Handsworth Junior Sporting Club started very brightly bringing up 58-0 after 9 overs before rain called a halt to the fixture. Waqar Hussain made a quickfire 35 not out.

A rare result! One game was completed as Doncaster Town 4th team beat Scholes by 25 runs as they bowled them out for 134 after posting 159-4 in their 40 overs. Ryan Capstick top scored with 43(40) for Doncaster before Ryan Alahakon took 4-14 in the 2nd innings to complete the win. Other notable performances came from Tom Staniland who scored 77 for Whitley Hall 3rd team and 6-21 from Adam Gibson for Frecheville Community 2nds before both games were abandoned.

Division 8 
 
Division 8 was another prisoner to the weather with the majority of games being cancelled. Only one game was completed with second placed Mexborough winning at home to mid-table Sheffield United 3rd XI. Monk Bretton 2nd XI stay top of the division after 5 games.

In one the of the very few games that went ahead at the weekend, second place Mexborough won the toss and put Sheffield United into bat. A decision which was to see united fall to 38-6 and eventually be summoned to 45 all out from 27 overs. Jonathan Mason took 4-10, whilst Saqib Mumtaz took 3-10. Worry kicked in for Mexborough as they collapsed early on to 11-3 bringing Sheffield United back into the game before a 38-run partnership between John Chantry (11*) and Brandon Cooke (27*) saw the hosts home comfortably.

Upper Haugh 3rds v Monk Bretton 2nds 
 
Table-topping Monk Bretton 2nd XI travelled to Upper Haugh in hope of establishing their lead at the top of division 8. However, like elsewhere rain affected the game. The leaders won the toss and placed Upper Haugh 3rd XI into bat. A constant flow of wickets reduced the hosts to 66-9 after 28 overs before the rain came. Andy Taylor (3-20), Colin Deakin (3-6) and Mike Ashworth (3-16) all took 3 wickets a piece.

Honours were even with both sides taking 3 points away due to rain once again. Rockingham Colliery won the toss and elected to field and restricted the hosts to 66-5 after 25 overs. Lucas Slatter (1-5), Robert Wootton (1-18), Rocco Campagna (1-13) and Connor Macadie (2-11) took the wickets before play was brought to a halt.
