Congratulations to the YCSPL under 23 team, who beat a strong MCC side by four wickets at Treeton yesterday.
Batting first, the MCC made 209-9, with opener Brear making 61. Oliver Booth of Doncaster Town took 3-39 and Sheffield Collegiate's Abdul Faseeh 3-33.
Faseeh dominated the under 23s' reply, with a brilliant 101 off 108 balls, including a match-clinching sixth-wicket stand of 67 with his club team-mate Thomas Currie (33 not out).
Our thanks go to organiser Steve Ward, coach Phil Chapman, and Nick Kendall and his team at Treeton CC, who staged the game brilliantly and made it a most enjoyable and memorable day.
