The YCSPL under 21s beat a Yorkshire CCC under 18s side at Tickhill last night, 11 June.
Batting first, the Yorkshire side got off to a flyer, posting 67 for the first wicket in quick time. After Max Chaplin had been removed by Harry Renshaw, six wickets fell for 29 runs until Joe White and Charlie Taylor (Barnsley Woolley Miners CC) added an unbroken seventh-wicket partnership of 56 to take their side to 152-6.
The YCSPL side also got off to a quick start, and 36 each from Abdul Faseeh and Sheryaar Ali helped our side to reach 124-2 in ten overs, and they passed their target with seven wickets and five overs to spare.
Our thanks go to all our team, who acquitted themselves really well, to coaches Phil and Roy Chapman, scorers Mick Forrester and Sarah Pollard, umpires Michael Clarke and Neil Vaughan, and to Tickhill CC who did an excellent job of hosting the game.
