Without the season's top Premier League bowler, Mayank Mishra, as well as the influential Mansfield brothers, Premier Division champions Cleethorpes put up a spirited performance against Bradford League champions New Farnley in the semi-final of the Yorkshire Premier Leagues play-offs at Chichester Road. Tom Keast (79) and Bill Kirby (40) put on 104 for the hosts’ first wicket after they were put in to bat, and they reached 151-1 with over 20 overs left. However, the last nine wickets fell for 56 as they were bowled out for 207, and New Farnley gained a seven-wicket win in the 44th over. Keeper Steven Bullen made 70 at the top of the order for the visitors, whilst Harry Clewett was the pick of the home attack with 2-35 in 11 overs. 
 
In Division 1, Upper Haugh climbed three places to finish in a top-half position after a comfortable win over Warmsworth at Wentworth Road. Parvez Asghar took 4-16 as Warmsworth were bowled out for 104, and Habil Arshad was unbeaten on 63 when the hosts claimed an eight-wicket win in the 14th over. Aston Hall 2nds came out comfortably on top in a battle between two relegated sides when they beat Wakefield Thornes 2nds at Green Lane. Mark Barnard (43), Mainak Ray (88*) and Thomas Moss (62) took Aston Hall to 235-5, and Richard Taylor took 4-34 as the visitors were bowled out for 169 in reply. 
 
Monk Bretton claimed the third promotion place in Division 2 when they beat Parkhead at the Castle Ground. Steven Honeyman took 5-34 as the visitors were bowled out for 111, Danny Taylor then hitting 46 off 28 balls to help Monk Bretton to a seven-wicket win in just 16 overs. 
 
Cawthorne 2nds comfortably beat Higham at Royd Lane to cement the third promotion place in Division 3. Nick Lowe (40) and Harry Sullivan (55) provided the foundation for the visitors’ 183 all out, Kyle Clayton taking 5-23 for Higham. Liam Carroll (4-36) led the way for Cawthorne when the hosts replied, and they were all out for 93. Bradfield Village Fellowship hauled themselves out of the relegation zone with a low-scoring win over Caribbean Sports at the Sands. Elliot Hallam took 6-23 to help Bradfield bowl their visitors out for 94, and although the chase was not entirely straightforward, the hosts claimed the five-wicket win they needed in 30 overs. Kexborough could have escaped relegation had they beaten Sheffield Collegiate 3rds at Bence Lane, but they lost by 80 runs. Nick Gaywood (45), Tom Bradley (41) and Shafiullah Shinwari (53) were in the runs in Collegiate’s 178-7, then Shinwari completed a fine all-round game with 6-23 when the hosts were bowled out for 98 in reply. Champions Norton Woodseats were beaten by Worsbrough Bridge at Matthews Lane. Opener James Eyre made 66 in the hosts’ 167 all out, Zarmash Tarakhil taking 5-44 for Bridge. Tarakhil then dominated the second innings with an unbeaten 121 off 87 balls, almost singled-handedly taking his side to a two-wicket win in the 27th over. On Sunday, the game between Sheffield Collegiate 3rds and Caribbean Sports at the Al-Murad Stadium was abandoned when Caribbean were 99-6 off 26 overs in the first innings. 
 
Both Shiregreen 2nds and Rockingham Colliery 2nds won their games in Division 4 to overtake Stocksbridge and finish in the second and third promotion places respectively. Shiregreen dominated their game against Doncaster Town 3rds at Hatfield House Lane, Hammad Farooq (99) and Nazam Mohammed (66) put in on 131 for the second wicket in their 252-7, then a solid all-round bowling performance saw them bowl their visitors out for 122, despite Finley Truman’s 46. Rockingham bowled Upper Haugh 2nds out for 97 at Hoyland Common, then Jayden Matsikenyeri made an unbeaten 64 to help the hosts claim a six-wicket win. 
 
All promotion and relegation issues had been resolved in Division 5, but Coal Aston 2nds completed an emphatic win over Rotherham Town 2nds at Stonelow to leapfrog Barnby Dun and finish as champions of the division. Zac Trower (50), William Ross (82) and Tom Trower (53) all completed their seasons amongst the runs, as the hosts piled up 294-8. Omar Waine hit 67 at the top of the order when the visitors replied, but Joshua Cross took 4-26 and they were bowled out for 142. Maltby Miners Welfare finished their season on a winning note when they beat relegated Darfield 2nds at School Lane. Tom Groom made 50 and Ismail Moolla took 5-35 when the visitors were bowled out for 121, but Lewis Kettlebrough took 5-33 to help bowl Darfield out for 78 in reply. 
 
Hatfield Town 2nds made light work of relegated Handsworth Junior SC 2nds at Carr Side Lane to overtake Warmsworth 2nds and finish as champions of Division 6. Mark Walton took 4-17 as the visitors were bowled out for 116, then Gareth Stent made an unbeaten 57 to guide his side to a nine-wicket win in the 23rd over. Elsewhere, promoted Penistone 2nds bowled Thorpe Hesley & High Green 2nds out for 87 and then recovered from 46-4 to claim a six-wicket win. Caribbean Sports 2nds beat relegated Higham 2nds by 118 runs at the Common. Fasih Khan top-scored for the hosts with 42 in their 205 all out; then Hamidullah Shinwari (4-11) and Mustafah Azam (4-12) combined to bowl the visitors out for 87 in reply. 
 
In Division 7, Stocksbridge 2nds beat relegated Norton Oakes 2nds at Oakes Park. Seth Warrington made 62 for the hosts, whilst Les Harris took 4-37 as they were restricted to 183-8. Ant Barnes (94*) and Steven Perry (52) then put on 121 for the second wicket to take the visitors to a seven-wicket win in the 33rd over. 
 
In Division 8, all of the bottom four sides were already relegated when they came up against each other in the final games. Bottom side Worsbrough Bridge 2nds narrowed the gap to those above them with a seven-wicket win over Frecheville Community 2nds at the D&I Home Improvements Stadium. Jithin Joseph took 6-17 as the visitors were bowled out for 92, then Darren Newton made an unbeaten 51 at the top of the order to see his side home. Elsecar 3rds finished their season with a convincing win over Mexborough Athletic 2nds at the Al-Murad Stadium. Jack Pearson, with 78 at the top of the order, and Alex Mottram, with 40 at number ten, saw the hosts to 190 all out, James Stephenson taking 5-34 for the visitors. Six bowlers took wickets when Mexborough replied, and they were all out for 75. 
 
Nick Petty hit an unbeaten 65 to help Dearne to 176-6 against Wath 3rds at Furlong Road, then Malcolm Day took 5-23 to help the hosts clinch the second promotion spot in Division 9. Elsewhere, champions Thorncliffe & Wentworth 2nds beat Fishlake 2nds by 62 runs at Lound Side to finish their excellent season on a high. Oliver Moorhouse hit an unbeaten 40 to lift the hosts to 156 all out, then eight bowlers were used when the visitors were dismissed for 94 in reply. There was a one-wicket win for Whiston Forge 2nds over Scholes & Harley 2nds at Scholes, that lifted them above Brookhouse 2nds and off the bottom of the table. The visitors used nine bowlers as Scholes were restricted to 152-9, then Mark Daly (44) helped them recover from 46-6 and get across the line with nine balls to spare.
