With unsettled weather causing interruptions in play, and DLS being utilised in some games, it was all change at the top of the Premier Division, as three of the top four overnight all lost. Sheffield Collegiate were the big winners, moving to the top of the table after a DLS-win over champions Cleethorpes at Chichester Road. Abdul Faseeh (52) and Shaaiq Choudhry (96) put on 130 for the second wicket in the visitors’ 202-7, whilst there were four wickets for Josh Knapton. Robert Shaw (5-32) took five of the first six wickets to fall when Cleethorpes slipped to 68-6 in reply, and only 54 from Jordan Cook took them to three figures, when they were all out for 118, chasing a DLS-adjusted target of 190 in 42 overs. Overnight leaders Wakefield Thornes were well-beaten at Shaw Lane, where skipper Boeta Beukes (88) led Barnsley Woolley Miners to 222-7, then Jash Giyanani took 4-37 when the visitors were bowled out for 75, chasing a revised target of 214 in 40 overs. Whitley Hall moved into the top-four, leapfrogging Doncaster Town, whom they beat at Town Fields. Opener James Moorhouse made 95 out of the visitors’ 205-8, whilst Warren Graca was the pick of the home attack with 5-48. Chasing 213 off 46 overs, Town were all out for 105 in reply, Dan Waldron leading the way for Whitley with 4-37. At Dark Lane, Aryan Varsani (62), with supporting forties from Joseph Hayes and Harry Allinson, led Cawthorne to 222 all out against Appleby Frodingham, for whom Matt Harris and Paul Hilton each took four wickets. Chasing 225 off 40 overs to win, the visitors were 88-0, with skipper Alex Grimes making 46, before collapsing to 126-7. Harris then made 50 off 42 balls, but with four wickets each from Rizwan Sadiq and Matthew Carroll, they were all out for 195. Tickhill bowled Wickersley Old Village out for 179 at Northfield Lane, then Joe Whelan (65) led the visitors to a seven-wicket win. in the battle between thae bottom two at Crimicar, the weather did Hallam no favours at all. Christian Leddicoat (68 not out) and William Coates (56 not out) had put on 85 for their fifth wicket when the hosts' innings closed at 210-4 after 46 overs due to weather interruptions. Muhammad Khan led Shiregreen’s reply, but when he was out for 105, four wickets fell quickly and they reached their target of 230 with just two wickets left, and climbed above their opponents. 
 
The top two in the Championship Division changed places, after leaders Doncaster Town 2nds lost away to Ackworth, and Sprotbrough beat Treeton at Washfield Lane. Sprotbrough were in some trouble at 100-7 before a real captain’s innings by Dean Williamson (55 not out) took them to 214-9. Parteek Khasa then took 5-39 and the hosts were all out for 157, despite 56 from skipper Harvey Wootton. At Ackworth, home skipper Luke Townsend (68) helped rescue his side from 81-5, and they reached 223-9 against Doncaster Town. Townsend then took 4-52 when the visitors replied, and they were all out for 175. Bilal Afzal made 50 for third-placed Whiston Parish Church in their 192 all out against in-form Aston Hall at Green Lane. Zaki Anjam made 54 at the top of the order for the hosts, but Tom Bolland was amongst the wickets again with 4-33, and they were all out for 179. Arsalan Mir took 6-28 for Elsecar when they bowled Tickhill 2nds out for 57, setting up an eight-wicket win in the 12th over. At Abbeydale, Shafiullah Shinwari took 4-35 for Sheffield Collegiate 2nds against Oughtibridge War Memorial, who reached 186-9. Dylan McDonald (79) and Matthew Taylor (51) then added 116 for the third wicket in the hosts’ five-wicket win. In another battle of the bottom two clubs, Ben Dalton (55) and Lasith Lakshan (54) helped Rockingham Colliery to 200-3 against Wath at Hoyland Common. Nasser Rasool then took 5-25 as the hosts recorded a 99-run DLS win that enabled them to climb above their visitors into eleventh place. 
 
Leaders Upper Haugh had a day off in Division 1, and their nearest challengers, Coal Aston, cut the gap at the top to 24 points with a seven-wicket win over Barnsley Woolley Miners 2nds at Stonelow. Alfie Gosney top-scored for the visitors with 56, but Edward Rabjohn took 4-29 and made only 174-9. In reply, an unbeaten 80 from Ben Hall took the hosts to a seven-wicket win in the 35th over. Third-placed Conisbrough put bottom side Penistone in to bat at Queen Street, and bowled them out for 199, skipper Connor Smythe making 99 and Aaron Lowe taking 4-69; in reply, Nathan Chadburn was unbeaten on 70 when the visitors completed a six-wicket win. Zeeshan Ahmed (63) and skipper Joe Stickland (70) led the way for Darfield in their 254-9 at home to Wickersley Old Village 2nds, for whom Jack Eggleston took 5-40. Nathan Taylor (68) and Liam Heathcote (96) then put on 149 for the visitors’ fourth wicket, but after they were parted, the innings fell away against Ahmed (4-29) and Saman Kursheed (4-62) and they finished five runs short on 249-9. At Common Lane, Warmsworth made 190-6 against fifth-placed Houghton Main, who then completed a four-wicket win in the 44th over. Joshua Van Oudsthoorn took 7-38 for Monk Bretton when they bowled Whitley Hall 2nds out for 132 at Baxter Field, and the visitors then cantered to a seven-wicket win in the 21st over. 
 
Division 2 leaders Frickley Colliery were 137-6 against Norton Woodseats at Matthews Lane before Jack Danks (52) lifted them to 268-9. Adam Rollin then took 5-33 when they bowled Woodseats out for 93 in reply. Brennan Wilson (103) scored his fifth century in just ten games for second-placed Cawthorne 2nds, and he shared a partnership of 154 for the second wicket with Daniel Airstone (77) in his side’s 286-5 away to Oughtibridge War Memorial 2nds. Thom Macrow took 4-54 when the hosts were bowled out for 162 in reply. Hallam 2nds lost ground on the top two when they were bowled out for 151 by Millhouses Works, for whom Noah Ellis hit an unbeaten 57 in their six-wicket win. Parkhead were all out for 183 away to Wakefield Thornes 2nds, for whom James Donnachie hit an unbeaten 73 in their four-wicket win. Arslan Tariq hit 64 for bottom side Sheffield United in their 203-7 against Aston Hall 2nds at Bawtry Road. Thirties and forties down the order then took the visitors to a one-wicket win with 13 balls to spare. Thorpe Hesley & High Green made 196-8 against Elsecar 2nds at the Al-Murad Stadium, then Oliver Blackburn was unbeaten on 78 in the hosts’ six-wicket win. 
 
In Division 3, leaders Hatfield Town lost their 100% record for the season when they lost at home to third-placed Sheffield Collegiate 3rds. The hosts were restricted to 178-9, then Greg Mann (80 not out) and Michael Goodchild (63 not out) put on an unbroken third-wicket stand of 105 to take their side to an eight-wicket win in 35 overs. Norton Oakes are now level with the leaders after Ted Hutchings (66) and skipper James Thompson (95) put on 162 for their second wicket, and Joshua Cross added a brisk unbeaten 50, in their 277-5 against Sheffield Caribbean at Oakes Park. They then bowled their visitors out for 172 in reply. Wath 2nds narrowed the gap to Rockingham Colliery 2nds in fourth place to two points after beating them in a low-scoring game at Moor Road. Jawad Akhtar took 4-18 when the hosts were bowled out for 109, but in reply, Rockingham were all out for 88, with four bowlers sharing the spoils. An unbeaten 69 from Mark Wilkinson lifted Worsbrough Bridge to 227-7 against Frecheville Community at Park Road, despite 5-62 from Todd Saxelby for the visitors. Liam Levitt then took 5-24 when Frecheville were all out for 101 in reply. Khurram Shahzad hit an unbeaten 110 off just 56 balls at number nine to take Shiregreen 2nds from 126-7 to 274-9 against Treeton 2nds at Hatfield House Lane, after Jon Boden had taken 4-48 for the visitors. Five bowlers then shared the wickets when Treeton were all out for 81 in reply. 
 
Division 4 leaders Sprotbrough 2nds made it ten out of ten, albeit by the narrowest of margins, when they beat Coal Aston 2nds at Melton Road. Scott Mantovani took 4-45 when the visitors posted 171-9, then Eliot Tye (5-33) once again caused the batsmen problems and, although Rocco Cook hit 51 and skipper Thomas Langley 40, the hosts still needed two to win when the last pair came together, which they obtained with nine overs to spare. There was another close game at Blaxton, where second-placed Barnsley Woolley Miners 3rds were all out for 169, then Fasih Khan took 4-37 to help them bowl Doncaster Town 3rds out for 165 in reply. Sheffield University Staff were all out for 171 at Glass Park, then third-placed Barnby Dun reached their target with three wickets and two overs to spare. Thorncliffe & Wentworth lost ground on the leaders when Andy Judge (67) played the match-winning innings from number nine at Wentworth Road, lifting hosts Upper Haugh 2nds up to 176 all out after being 98-8, James Brown taking 4-19. Murad Ghani then took 4-31 when the visitors were bowled out for 141 in reply; Judge adding three wickets to his first innings heroics. Stocksbridge made 201-9 after being put in to bat by Sheffield Collegiate 4ths at Abbeydale, skipper Andrew Hirst leading from the front with 63; Luke Profitt (54) and Jack Kettleborough (50) then got the hosts off to a decent start in reply, and skipper Matthew Butler contributed 59 to their four-wicket win. On Sunday, Matthew Tonks (50) and Luke Copley (65) helped Wombwell Main to 237 all out at home to Kexborough, for whom Joseph Bullock (54) and Matty Woods (107 not out) then put on 101 for the fourth wicket, to help them recover from 14-3, and Woods continued on to lead the visitors to a three-wicket win with eleven balls to spare. 
 
Ackworth 2nds are the new leaders of Division 5, in which the top five teams are separated by only six points. Keelan Booth (100) and Sam Swindin (93) put on 192 for Ackworth’s first wicket in their 294-7 away to overnight leaders Whiston Forge, for whom Mark Daly took 4-58. Alex Clemo then took 4-40 when the hosts were all out for 150 in reply. Kevin Pearson (82) and skipper Kelvin Defty (79) put on 157 for Warmsworth 2nds in their 214-5 away to Silkstone United, then Charlie Hall took 5-43 to help them restrict their hosts to 197-9 in reply. Maltby Miners Welfare are in joint-third place with Warmsworth after defeating Fishlake at Muglet Lane. After Maltby were bowled out for 146, four bowlers shared the wickets when they bowled Fishlake out for 119 in reply. Hatfield Town 2nds were all out for 151 against Hallam 3rds at Sandygate, despite Carl Walton’s 56; Neil Mountjoy taking 5-20 for the hosts. Harry Spence was then unbeaten on 51 when Hallam reached their target with six wickets and 16 overs to spare. Conisbrough 2nds were 96-5 at home to Penistone 2nds before Liam Stainthorpe (126 off 73 balls with 11 sixes) put on 108 for the sixth wicket with Hakim Muzaffar, and they were all out for 260. Paul Rooke (47) and Lee Ogden (63) put on 108 for the second wicket in the visitors’ reply, but after that, only Marcus Hoyland (55 not out) offered sustained resistance; Stainthorpe completed an excellent all-round performance with 4-61, and Penistone were all out for 205. 
 
Division 6 leaders Waverley are the second of the League’s three unbeaten sides as we move towards the half-way point. They had a crushing win over relegation-threatened Sheffield Caribbean 2nds at the Common, after Arun HariKumar (70) had helped them to 244-7; then Jerin Varghese (4-31) was again in the wickets when Caribbean were all out for 72 in reply. 20 points behind the leaders are Thorpe Hesley & High Green 2nds, who had a comfortable win over Whitley Hall 3rds at Smithywood Road. Charlie Wragg made 52 in the visitors 146 all out, then an unbeaten 44 from Chris Fisher helped steer the hosts to a five-wicket win with 12 overs in hand. Millhouses Works 2nds are a further two points behind after Amir Riaz (57) helped them post 175 all out away to Wadworth, for whom James Needham took 4-42 and Addison Senior 4-5 in 13 balls. Five bowlers then shared the wickets in the hosts’ 114 all out in reply. Green Moor kept pressure on the teams above them by beating bottom side Darfield 2nds at Hill Top. Daniel Lowe contributed 66 to the hosts’ 194-9, then Curtis Coles took 4-21 when the visitors were 135-8 in reply, Campbell Wroe contributing a positive 61 before being run out. Mahmood Hussain (71) and Saiful Nury (53) helped Handsworth Junior SC to 248-6 against Wickersley Old Village 3rds at Oliver’s Mount, James O’Connell claiming four of the six wickets to fall. Six bowlers then took wickets when the visitors were all out for 89 in reply. Sam Lowery (51) top-scored in Scholes & Harley’s 178 all out against Mexborough Athletic at Scholes, who were all out for 167 in reply. 
 
Adwick-le-Street remain top of Division 7 despite a second successive defeat, this time away to third-placed Parkhead 2nds, for whom skipper Thomas Jackson made 94 in their 226 all out. Hashim Mahroof then took 5-18 as the visitors were bundled out for 75 in reply. Sheffield United 2nds narrowed the gap to the top to eight points by beating Rockingham Colliery 3rds at Stainborough. Baharullah Momand hit 57 out of United’s 210 all out, then Sufian Iqbal took 6-34 when the visitors were all out for 141 in reply. Upper Haugh 3rds dropped two places to fourth after losing to Stocksbridge 2nds at Bracken Moor. The hosts were 132-8 before an unbeaten 44 from Parag Tawade lifted them to 192-9, and the visitors were all out for 104 in reply. Brookhouse also lost ground on the leaders after coming off second best in a tight, low-scoring affair at Rose Lane. Majad Hussain took 6-27 for visitors Handsworth Junior SC 2nds, who then edged to a two-wicket win. In a battle between two relegation-threatened sides, Will Clarke took 5-38 to help Bradfield Village Fellowship 2nds bowl Higham 2nds out for 170 at the Sands, then opener Harrison Lee hit an unbeaten 79 to take the hosts to a seven-wicket win. Skipper Steven Dixon made 72 out of Barnsley Woolley Miners 4ths’ 184-9 against Doncaster Town 4ths at Woolley, and the visitors fell 11 short in reply, on 173-9. 
 
Gulagha Sadiq made 78 to help Houghton Main 2nds post 249-9 against Dearne at Middlecliffe Lane, before Shokoor Ahmadzai took 5-37 to restrict the visitors to 219-9 in reply, despite an unbeaten 70 from Nick Petty, which enabled Houghton to take over at the top of Division 8. Dan Clarke took 5-29 to help Sprotbrough 3rds bowl previous leaders Norton Woodseats 2nds out for 54 at Bullcroft, then the hosts completed a six-wicket win in just 12 overs. Wombwell Main 2nds are third after a comprehensive win over Kexborough 2nds at Bence Lane. Elliot Mann top-scored in the visitors 257-7, then Connor Turford weighed in with 5-25 when the hosts were bowled out for 70 in reply. Hallam 4ths consolidated fourth place by overwhelming fellow promotion contenders Monk Bretton 2nds at the Castle Ground. Tahseen Ahmad (4-22) and Narender Manohar (6-26) combined to bowl the hosts out for 48, and Hallam completed a ten-wicket win in the ninth over. Norton Oakes 2nds kept up with the leading group by beating Thorncliffe & Wentworth 2nds at Lound Side. The visitors made 105 all out, then Maddie Blackburn (4-15) and Adam Thorpe (6-4-6-5) combined to bowl Thorncliffe out for 47 in reply. Simon White took 5-12 when Barnby Dun 2nds bowled Eden Grove Parklands out for 149 at Parklands, then four bowlers shared the wickets when the visitors were all out for 110 in reply. 
 
Frickley Colliery 2nds had a comprehensive win over Whiston Forge 2nds to preserve the League’s third 100% record and they lead Division 9 by 18 points. They bowled Forge out for 98 and knocked off the required runs for no loss in the 13th over. Waverley 2nds had to work harder to hold on to second place. Alex Prince took 5-28 when they bowled Elsecar 3rds out for 131 at Totley; in reply, they lost seven wickets in reaching their modest target. Yashodhan Purandare (73) and Dave Hadley (55) put on 136 for Sheffield University Staff 2nds’ second wicket in their 197-7 against Silkstone United 2nds, for whom Joe Green made 60 in reply, but Charlie Nicholls took 5-14 and United were all out for 133. Frecheville Community 2nds made 175-7 against Worsbrough Bridge 2nds, in second place overnight, and then Elliot Metcalfe took 6-27 to earn Frecheville a 14-run win. Oughtibridge War Memorial 3rds bowled Wath 3rds out for 140 at Wentworth, then Daniel Currie made 74 to set up a seven-wicket win for Oughtibridge. Thulasinath Ramasamy (65) helped Eden Grove Parklands 2nds to 177-7 against Fishlake 2nds at Pinfold Lane; then opener Harry Poskitt then made 71 for the hosts, but Shankarganesh Kumaraganesan took 4-14 and Parklands claimed a 30-run victory. Phillip Taylor took 4-20 for Mexborough Athletic 2nds when they bowled Scholes & Harley 2nds out for 88, then Bradley Sharp made 50 in the hosts’ nine-wicket win. 
 
 
On Sunday, in the Mick Savage Trophy, Dave Rodgers (129 not out) put on 108 for Coal Aston’s second wicket with Jon Trower (54) and 165 with Ben Hall (94 off 59 balls) for the third, as they made 322-4 away to Aston Hall 2nds. The hosts were 90-1 when the rain ended proceedings, and Coal Aston won by 22 runs on DLS. Buddhika Bopitiyaga took 4-14 when Conisbrough bowled Penistone out for 113, and they gained a six-wicket win in the 24th over. An unbroken seventh-wicket stand of 102 between Aadam Hassan (59 not out) and Matthew Bacon (44 not out) took Upper Haugh from 127-6 to 229-6 against Warmsworth, who were 98-7 when play was ended, and Upper Haugh were declared winners by 91 runs on DLS. Adam Rollin (83) and Stephen Ashworth (56) added 114 for Frickley Colliery’s third wicket on their way to 216-6 against Wickersley Old Village 2nds, who were 128-4 when rain stopped play, and Frickley won by 16 runs on DLS.
