Overall, there were no results obtained in the YCSPL over the weekend, and only a very small amount of play was possible in four out of the 68 scheduled games involving our clubs.

There was play in only two Premier Division games. Shiregreen put Cleethorpes in to bat at Chichester Road, and Imran Khan took 4-24 as they slipped to 56-5 off 21.4 overs before play was abandoned. There was even less play at Crimicar, where Hallam put Doncaster Town in to bat, but only three overs were possible, in which the visitors reached 7-2. There was no play at all in the other four games.

There was no play at all in either the Championship Division or Division 1

In Division 2, there was play only at Waterside Gardens, where Oughtibridge War Memorial 2nds elected to bat against Parkhead, and reached 16-0 off six overs before the game was abandoned.

All games in Divisions 3 to Division 9 were cancelled, except the Division 9 game at Guilthwaite Hill, where Wath 3rds conceded, so Whiston Forge 2nds were the only team to collect twelve points in the whole league.

On Sunday, there was no play in the K3 Dental Cup semi-final between Doncaster Town and Woodhouse Grange, which has now been rearranged for 10 August. York and Castleford attempted to play their quarter-final without success, and will try again next week.

There were two overs played in the Billy Oates Memorial Cup semi-final between Frickley Colliery 2nds and Green Moor, in which Green Moor reached 2-0 after being put in to bat. There was no play in the game between Waverley and Wickersley Old Village 3rds. The dates for the rearrangements will be published as soon as possible.
