Wakefield Thornes increased their lead at the top of the Premier Division by beating Hallam after putting them in to bat at Field Lane. Andre Bradford (47) and Edward Burch (43) helped the visitors to 198 all out, whilst Brad Green took 4-33. In reply, Joe Billings (90), with solid support from Kieran Donnachie (47), led Thornes to a six-wicket win. Doncaster Town, in second place overnight, suffered a surprise defeat against Shiregreen at Hatfield House Lane. Zain Ul Abdin took 5-53 after the visitors were put in to bat, and only Jaden Fell (77) looked comfortable when they were all out for 177. Skipper James Dobson took 4-29 when Shiregreen replied, and they squeezed home with one wicket in hand. Cleethorpes move up to second after winning the first Lincolnshire derby of the season. David Mansfield (40) and Mayank Mishra (63 not out) put on 93 for their seventh wicket to rescue the hosts from 95-6, and they closed on 226-7. Mishra then completed an excellent all-round performance with 7-41 when Appleby Frodingham were restricted to 202-9 in reply; home skipper Alex Grimes was ninth out, run out for 99. An unbeaten 52 from Samuel Meadows helped Sheffield Collegiate to 216-7 against Wickersley Old Village at Abbeydale. Collegiate then moved up a place to third after restricting their visitors to 172-9 in reply. There was a very tight finish at Baxter Field, where Tim Smith (61) top-scored for Whitley Hall in their 237-8 against Cawthorne. Muhammad Ashraf then took 5-60 when Cawthorne were all out for 231 with three balls left. Mike Jepps was unbeaten on 51 in Tickhill’s 184-9 against Barnsley Woolley Miners, for whom Jash Giyanani took 5-59. Sean Whitehead made 53 in Barnsley’s reply, but Josh Court took 4-56, and they were all out for 173. 
 
Travis Cresswell (51) and Ryan Alahakon (42 not out) put on 81 for the eighth wicket to help Championship Division leaders Doncaster Town 2nds recover from 109-7 to 232-9 against bottom club Rockingham Colliery at Town Fields. In reply, Ben Dalton (88) shared stands of 110 for the second wicket with Lasith Lakshan (60), and 85 for the third with Harry Grindle (51 not out), but the visitors still finished two runs short on 230-4. Ibrahim Safi’s 63 was the backbone of Tickhill 2nds’ 178-9 against second-placed Sprotbrough, and Parteek Khasa then hit a brilliant unbeaten 111 off 82 balls to take his side to a six-wicket win. Arman Jaffer (187 not out) and Danny Kemp (89) put on 241 for the second wicket in Whiston Parish Church’s 390-5 against Ackworth at Church Fields. Tom Bolland then took 5-55 when the visitors were bowled out for 189 in reply. Nathan Ward (75) and Josh Coulson (56) helped Aston Hall to 257 all out against Oughtibridge War Memorial at Green Lane, Hamzah Ilyas taking 7-41 for the visitors. Skipper Johan Bothma then took 4-34 to help his side bowl Oughtibridge out for 211, opener Michael Brown being last out for 88, and the hosts claimed their fifth successive win. Bilal Imtiaz (99 not out) and Arsalan Mir (94) put on 190 for the third wicket in Elsecar’s 264-3 against Sheffield Collegiate 2nds at the Al Murad Stadium. In reply, Jack Clough made 122, but Lalith Mohan took 4-48 and the visitors were all out for 237. There was another high-scoring game and tight finish at Moor Road, where Gareth Davis (73) and Harvey Wootton (77) helped Treeton to 264-6, then Lachlan Jacobs (60) and Sam Bowden (69) put Wath in a good position at 220-4, but they finished one run short on 263-8. 
 
Upper Haugh march on in Division 1, with a four-wicket win over Whitley Hall 2nds at Wentworth Road. Sam Chatterton made 86 in the visitors’ 177 all out, Habil Arshad taking 4-46. In the hosts’ reply, skipper Tommy Hyde made 69, and they eased to their target with 12 overs to spare. Second-placed Coal Aston lost ground, and now trail the leaders by 36 points, after losing to Houghton Main at Middlecliffe Lane. Skipper Jack Hall (60), Harry Simpson (65 not out) and Ben Vandrill (46 off 19 balls) helped the visitors to 307-6, but in reply, Asim Javed (60) and Riaz Khan (104 not out) took their side to a four-wicket win with two overs to spare. In third place, Warmsworth closed the gap to second to two points with a convincing win over Monk Bretton at the Castle Ground. Skipper Nathan Swift (75) and Rhys Mann (96) got the visitors off to a great start with an opening stand of 141, and they closed on 283-8, with Ashley Clayton taking four wickets for the hosts. In Monk Bretton’s reply, Syed Sadat took 4-19, and they were all out for 135. Conisbrough, who had a week off, and Darfield are joint fourth, just two points behind Warmsworth. Darfield had a comfortable six-wicket win over Barnsley Woolley Miners 2nds at Shaw Lane. Opener Freddie Chapman made 100 out of the hosts’ 170-8, Anees Hussain taking 4-30 for the visitors; then Naeem Jehangir (50) and Jabari Mills (74 not out) led Darfield to victory with 15 overs to spare. Brooklyn Whitmill hit an unbeaten 61 off 44 balls for Wickersley Old Village 2nds in their 217-7 against bottom side Penistone, who were all out for 180 in reply, Charlie Armitage scoring 50 at the top of the order, whilst Jack Eggleston took 7-60 for Wickersley. 
 
In Division 2, Jack Danks took 4-10 for leaders Frickley Colliery when they bowled bottom side Sheffield United out for 90, and they went on to complete a six-wicket win in the 20th over. Second-placed Hallam 2nds returned to winning ways with an impressive eight-wicket win over Wakefield Thornes 2nds at Crimicar. Harley Cushan (50) and James Donnachie (58 not out) helped the visitors to 196-7, but an unbeaten 121 from Richard Perkins, who put on 152 for the first wicket with Will Newton (51), saw Hallam home with plenty to spare. Brennan Wilson (51) was in the runs again for Cawthorne 2nds at Dark Lane, but it was Thom Macrow (80) who then lifted the hosts to 225-7, to give them a platform for victory over Elsecar 2nds. Opener Kieran Higgins made 100 in the visitors’ reply, but he received little sustained support, and with Ryan Gibson taking 4-41, they finished on 203-9. Norton Woodseats kept their promotion hopes alive with an important win over Parkhead at Ecclesall Road, and leapfrogged them into fifth place. David Armitage (72) and Blake Stocks (58) added 118 for Woodseats’ fifth wicket, and they posted an impressive 276-8. In reply, Harrison Vinall (71) and Adil Hasim (64) put on 123 for the Parkhead’s second wicket, but the rest of the batting folded, in particular against James Speck (5-27), and they were all out for 192. The day’s highest-scoring game came at Waterside Gardens, where Richard Everitt (109) and Bavasuthan Selvanayagam (113 not out off 98 balls) put on 174 for Oughtibridge War Memorial 2nds’ third wicket in their 314-3 against Aston Hall 2nds. Visiting skipper Mark Barnard then hit an unbeaten 196 off 158 balls to lead his side to a seven-wicket win, adding 139 for the third wicket with Jamie Taylor (45), and an unbroken 145 for the fourth with Lewis Sansome (40 not out). Thorpe Hesley & High Green bowled Millhouses Works out for 110 at Smithywood Road, and they completed a six-wicket win in the 28th over. 
 
In Division 3, there were two clashes between top four sides. Leaders Hatfield Town came out on top in a low-scoring game at Hoyland Common. Peter Lomas took 4-34 when the visitors were bowled out for 133, after a third-wicket stand of 79 between skipper David Barrett (41) and Joshua Hartfield (47) had taken them to 87-2. Four bowlers then shared the wickets when Rockingham Colliery 2nds were bowled out for 65 in reply. Matthew Taylor (71) helped Sheffield Collegiate 3rds to 191-7 against second-placed Norton Oakes at Abbeydale, before skipper James Thompson (104 not out), put on an unbroken second wicket stand of 179 with Michael Nuttall (57 not out) to take his side to a nine-wicket win, that now gives them an 18-point cushion to third place. Wath 2nds remain in fifth place after losing to Treeton 2nds at Washfield Road. James Barnard (49) and Joe Dickinson (51) put on 97 for the visitors’ fourth wicket to help them recover from 7-3 and reach 183-8. Steve Foster, with an unbeaten 119 to add to his earlier three wickets, then rolled back the years to take his side to a four-wicket win. Shiregreen 2nds were 100-6 against Frecheville Community at the Hobson Bowl, but then skipper Muhammad Naseem (55 not out) and Naseer Nahaim (90 not out off 64 balls) added an unbroken 144 for the seventh wicket to take them to 244-6. Abbas Ahmed then took 4-49 when the hosts fell away from 108-1 (Daniel Kempton 51) and finished on 186-9 in reply. Lian Levitt recorded figures of 8.3-5-8-4 when Worsbrough Bridge bowled Bradfield Village Fellowship out for 140 at the Sands, then James Kennedy made 51 when the visitors chased down their target for the loss of five wickets. Glen Burden (103) and Greg Walton (76) put on 181 for the first wicket in Higham’s 273-7 against Sheffield Caribbean at Royd Lane. Steven Bamforth (5-15) and Leah Burkinshaw (4-38) then bowled the visitors out for 181 in reply. 
 
Sprotbrough 2nds continue to march on in Division 4. Harvey Thomas hit an unbeaten 75 off 49 balls to left them from 97-7 to 205-8, and Thomas Cuthbert took 5-30 when they bowled Stocksbridge out for 88 in reply. Barnsley Woolley Miners 3rds returned to winning ways with a convincing win over Upper Haugh 2nds at Woolley. Dairen Hirst-Spalding and Ben Bentley, with 45 each, took them to 181 all out, Andy Judge taking 4-43 for the visitors; then Ethan Shillito took 5-35 when Upper Haugh were all out for 109 in reply. Darren Schofield made 50 out of third-placed Thorncliffe & Wentworth’s 158 away to Wombwell Main, then Michael Gilmour took 5-22 when the hosts were all out for 87 in reply. Ciaran McCarthy took 4-58 for Barnby Dun, but could not prevent Coal Aston 2nds posting 212-7 at Stonelow, then Eliot Tye (4-16 in 11 overs) was amongst the wickets again when the visitors were all out for 141 in reply. Sheffield University Staff lost ground on the leaders when they failed to defend their 204 all out at home to Doncaster Town 3rds. Waqas Tanveer (67) and Monir Choudhury (58) were in the runs for the hosts, but Finley Truman (61 not out) and Jonathan Redfern (60) won it for the visitors with a stand of 105 for the fourth wicket, and Town got home with three wickets and four balls to spare. Half-centuries from Luke Proffitt, Charlie Wall and Richard Mathewson took Sheffield Collegiate 4ths to 172-2 against Kexborough, but the hosts chased down their target with four wickets and five overs in hand. 
 
Fifties from skipper Kelvin Defty and Umair Alam helped Warmsworth 2nds to 221-4 against Division 5 leaders Whiston Forge at Common Lane. Cade Darwin made 61 in the visitors’ reply, but Alam capped a fine all-round performance with 5-28, and they were all out for 170. Adil Sikander took 4-38 for second-placed Hatfield Town 2nds to help them bowl Maltby Miners Welfare out for 113 in reply to their 146 all out, and they cut the gap to the leaders to four points. Ackworth 2nds missed the chance to close the gap on the leaders when they lost at home to Whiston Parish Church 2nds. Basharat Ali (110) led the visitors to 240-7, then Ackworth collapsed to 95-9 before Arran Taylor (81 off 48 balls) came in at number 11 to set a new League record last wicket partnership of 107 with Daniel Levick, but their side still fell 38 runs short. Joseph Mosley made 67 for Silkstone United in their 181 all out at Fishlake, for whom Jonathan Holmes took 4-52. Chris Barraclough (5-25) and Emilia Rossi (5-39) shared the wickets when the hosts were bowled out for 64 in reply. Elsewhere, Hallam 3rds posted 239-3 against Penistone 2nds and restricted them to 189-9 in reply. 
 
Reon Jerome made 73 in Division 6 leaders Waverley’s 156-8 against fourth-placed Green Moor at Totley, Satvir Singh taking 4-23 for the visitors. Jerin Varghese (5-24) and Nideesh Alukkal (4-9) then combined to bowl the visitors out for 73 in reply. Skipper James Proctor hit an unbeaten 89 to help Thorpe Hesley & High Green 2nds to 196-9 away to Millhouses Works 2nds, then Thomas Arnold took 4-39 to bowl the visitors to a 46-run win, that meant they leapfrogged their hosts back into second place. Scholes & Harley lost ground on the leading group when they lost narrowly to Whitley Hall 3rds at Green Moor. Josh Singleton’s 87 helped the hosts to 187 all out, then four bowlers shared the wickets when Scholes were all out seven runs short of their target. Fifties from Lee Jeffries and Connah Brettell helped Mexborough Athletic to 211-5 against Sheffield Caribbean 2nds at the Common, but then the hosts reached their target with three wickets and nine balls to spare. Jack Parkinson took 4-23 for Darfield 2nds when they bowled Handsworth Junior SC out for 107 at School Lane, and the hosts went on to complete a seven-wicket win in 26 overs. Wadworth bowled Wickersley Old Village 3rds out for 129 at Brookhouse, then an unbeaten 49 from Daniel Powell took the visitors to a three-wicket win. 
 
Adwick-le-Street’s winning run at the top of Division 7 came to an end when they lost in a low-scoring game at home to Brookhouse. Carl Newbold took 4-40 when the visitors were bowled out for 115, but Adwick could manage only 110 in reply. Muraad Ghani took 4-22 to help second-placed Upper Haugh 3rds bowl Bradfield Village Fellowship 2nds out for 75 at Hootton Pagnell, then Elliot Hunt (41) steered the hosts safely to a six-wicket win that cut the gap to the leaders to 14 points. Sheffield United 2nds bowled Barnsley Woolley Miners 4ths out for 137 at Bawtry Road, then Hasan Yasin (42 not out) and Baharullah Momand (57) steered the hosts to a six-wicket win. Only Michael Clarke-Linney (52) got on top of the bowling for Doncaster Town 4ths in their 110 all out against Parkhead 2nds at Blaxton, but his innings proved decisive when the visitors were bowled out for 90 in reply. Waqas Rashid (49) top-scored for Handsworth Junior SC 2nds in their 189 all out against Stocksbridge 2nds at Oliver’s Mount, and the visitors then managed only 121-9 in reply. Rockingham Colliery 3rds bowled Higham 2nds out for 89 at Stainborough, then eased to a five-wicket win in the 30th over. 
 
Raza Shah’s 83 helped Division 8 leaders Norton Woodseats 2nds to 251-9 at home to Eden Grove Parklands, who made 209-5 in reply, with Daniel Morton (83 not out) and Mrinmoy Borgohain (54 not out) putting on an unbroken partnership of 93 for the sixth wicket to steer their side to four bonus points. Houghton Main 2nds consolidated their second place with a very comfortable win over Barnby Dun 2nds at Glass Park. The visitors were 168 all out and bowled Barnby Dun out for 51 in reply. Jaspreet Singh took 4-17 to help Monk Bretton 2nds bowl Dearne out for 130 at Furlong Road, and opener James Taylor was unbeaten on 82 when the visitors recorded their six-wicket win. Seb Wainwright’s 79 off 52 balls lifted Hallam 4ths from 89-5 to 247-6 against Kexborough 2nds at Sandygate, and the visitors were all out for 130 in reply. Andrew Millington (41) and Adam Wallace (55) put on 102 for Wombwell Main 2nds’ first wicket, but they then slipped to 158 all out against Thorncliffe & Wentworth 2nds, who were then all out for 140 in reply. Skipper Chris Oakley (54) and Seth Warrington (61) led Norton Oakes 2nds to 273-8 against Sprotbrough 3rds, for whom Sulaimaan Ahmed made 59 out of their 182-8 in reply. 
 
Oughtibridge War Memorial 3rds made 151-9 against Division 9 leaders Frickley Colliery 2nds at Wentworth, Benjamin Tyers making 46 and Luke Malone taking 4-26. The visitors then recorded a five-wicket win in the 24th over. Waverley 2nds and Worsbrough Bridge 2nds kept pace in joint second after wins over Eden Grove Parklands 2nds and fourth-placed Elsecar 3rds respectively. Alan George (75) and Akhil Babu (59) put on 96 for Waverley’s first wicket in their 230-8 at Parklands, Peter Rayan taking 4-39 for the hosts, then Anish Thomas took 4-28 when Eden Grove were bowled out for 137 in reply. Phil Smith (109) and Kevin Sheriff (71) put on 160 for the fourth wicket to rescue Worsbrough from 40-4 at home to Elsecar, and they posted 215-7. Archie Wootton then took 4-26 when the visitors were bowled out for 191 in reply. Sheffield University Staff 2nds stayed in touch with the leaders by beating Scholes & Harley 2nds at Scholes. Matthew Holmes took 4-52 in the Staff’s innings of 202-8, then Charlie Nicholls took 4-39 when the hosts were bowled out for 167 in reply. Lee Ford took 4-19 when Frecheville Community 2nds bowled Silkstone United 2nds out for 126, then Adam Ramsden was unbeaten on 54 when Frecheville completed a five-wicket win. Owen Brinton (5-15) helped Mexborough Athletic 2nds bowl Wath 3rds out for 109 to set up a seven-wicket win. Jacon Meehan took 4-25 when Fishlake 2nds bowled Whiston Forge 2nds out for 125 after they had been 56-8, and Fishlake completed a six-wicket win inside 20 overs. 
 
 
On Sunday, in the President’s Trophy, there was a high-scoring game at Washfield Lane, where Jack Roys (120 not out) led Treeton 2nds to 272-3 against Stocksbridge, who fell 63 short at 209-4 in reply. Ryan Mann (62) and Matthew Cox (55 not out) lifted Rockingham Colliery 2nds from 95-5 to 204-6 against Wombwell Main, who made 128-9 in reply, Quinn Baker taking 4-28. Ethan Allsopp took 4-14 for Sheffield Collegiate 3rds when they bowled Upper Haugh 2nds out for 150, then Greg Mann hit an unbeaten 66 in Collegiate’s five-wicket win. Shaik Aziz took 4-14 for Thorncliffe & Wentworth, who bowled Worsbrough Bridge out for 64 and beat them by eight wickets. There were four wickets each for Scott Mantovani and Nicky Graves when Sprotbrough 2nds bowled Wath 2nds out for 112, and Rocco Cook was then unbeaten on 59 in their eight-wicket win. Josh Platt took 4-25 when Hatfield Town bowled Barnsley Woolley Miners 3rds out for 157 in response to their 190 all out. Coal Aston 2nds made 192-8 against Sheffield Caribbean, and then bowled them out for 156 in reply.
