Steve Fletcher wins prestigious Pride of Cricket award

The Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League sends its hearty congratulations to one of our real stalwarts, the 'one and only' Steve Fletcher of Whitley Hall CC, on becoming the inaugural winner of the LV=Insurance Pride of Cricket Award.
Steve has given a lifetime of service to the Baxter Field club, acting in a wide range of roles from president to clubhouse manager, and juniors coach to ladies team manager, in over fifty years with the club. His will be a familiar face to anyone who visits Baxter Field - rarely does a day pass in the summer months when he is not seen there. It is a richly deserved honour - Steve personifies the legion of volunteers upon whom cricket clubs depend, and without whom they could not survive. He is indeed 'Mr Whitley Hall'.
