Appleby Frodingham Cricket Club celebrate their centenary this summer, and are commemorating the occasion with a golf day and celebration dinner at Forest Pines on Friday 20 August. All friends from the Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League will be very welcome to join the celebrations. 
 
The golf tournament will take place during the day and will be for groups of four (fourballs) and will be in a Texas Scramble format. 
 
In the evening, at 7.00pm for 7.30, there will be a Centenary Dinner – a three-course meal, with guest speakers and a disco to follow. Dress code is smart casual, and ladies are very welcome. 
 
The guest speakers are: 
Geoff Miller - Derbyshire CCC and England, and noted after-dinner speaker 
Phil Neale - Appleby Frodingham CC and Worcestershire CCC; former team manager of Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and England, and former Scunthorpe United FC footballer 
 
The championship course at Forest Pines golf club was opened in 1996, and consists of a unique 27-hole layout. It has become one of the UK’s ‘must-play’ courses. The dinner will take place in the four-star DoubleTree by Hilton hotel on the complex, which is located at Ermine Street, Broughton, Scunthorpe DN20 0AQ 
 
The cost is £35 per head (dinner) or £70 per head (golf and dinner). Tickets and information are available from Matt Morland and Kieran Lindley. Overnight accommodation may be booked if required.
