Cricket balls for 2025 – final reminder 
 
If any club has not yet ordered their balls for the coming season, they need to do so now. Full details of the process and the balls required were contained in the last bulletin
 
ECB accreditation requirements – for information 
 
ECB have now published details of the 2025 Premier League accreditation requirements, that include specific actions for clubs in the Premier and Championship Divisions, and for those in Division 1 with ambitions to be promoted to the Premier Section. Our summary of these requirements has now been posted on our League website. 
 
ECB recreational cricket safety regulations – for information 
 
ECB have published new safety regulations and guidelines that clubs need to be aware ofin their planning for the 2025 season. 
 
The regulations, that cover mainly junior players, can be found here and the general safety guidelines, applicable to all age groups, are published here
 
League subscriptions - for information 
 
League subscriptions will be invoiced to clubs via the Play-Cricket action centre on 1 April, with payment due by 30 April. The YCB affiliation fees have now been set at £30 per team and will be collected by the League along with the League subscriptions. All fees for Women's & Girls Section teams will be charged separately by the W&G Section. 
 
Live-Streaming – action required 
 
Does your club intend to live-stream home games in 2025? If so, if you are not already on the list published on the home page of our website, please advise Roger Pugh as soon as possible. 
 
Metro Bank Fund courses for coaches working with junior girls – for information 
 
Metro Bank Fund core coaching courses for coaches that will be working with junior girls will take place at Handsworth Grange School, Sheffield on Sunday 15th & 22nd June and Sunday 3rd & 24th August. 
 
There is an Expression of Interest form for this course due to its nature, Anyone keen to enrol needs to complete this form using their personal email address. Following this submission, either Kev Gresham or Ella Telford will be in contact regarding the course. 
 
Notifying us of club officials – reminder of action required 
 
The form for all clubs to complete to let us know the names and contact numbers of key officials for publication in the handbook and on the website has now been issued, along with a GDPR form for relevant officials to provide their consent for their names and contact details are published. Please return these to Roger Pugh by 28 February. 
 
Clubs are reminded to ensure that new secretaries and captains register on WTU. For the Premier division, please select organisation ‘YPL’; for the Championship to Division 9, the organisation is ‘YCSPL’. The link is www.whostheumpire.com. 
 
Premier Section Captains meeting - advance warning 
 
There will be a pre-season meeting for all Premier Section team captains on Wednesday 26 March at Shaw Lane, Barnsley (7.30pm start). Either the captain or vice-captain of all Premier Section teams must attend. An agenda and other information will be issued nearer the time. 
 
YCB ‘Have Your Say’ club audit – reminder for action 
 
Clubs are reminded to complete the Yorkshire Cricket Board ‘have your say’ clubs’ audit. which closes at midnight on 21st February 2025. 
The audit will gather vital feedback that will help the Yorkshire Cricket Board develop its’ county-wide strategy to meet the diverse needs of clubs and communities across Yorkshire, and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Please ensure only one audit is submitted per club, and that the person completing has a broad knowledge of all aspects of the club.
