Clubs' bulletin no 14 of 2025 - 18 October 

2025 Annual General Meeting – update 
 
The League AGM takes place at Shaw Lane Sports Club, Barnsley on Wednesday 19 November. Any nominations for league officials or proposals for rule changes need to be sent to Roger Pugh by 24 October. 
 
The proposals for changes to League rules are summarised here. If a club wishes to make any other proposals for change, these must be received, duly seconded, by 24 October. 
 
The agenda and full information for the meeting will be sent directly to all clubs in week commencing 27 October. 
 
2025 Annual dinner & presentation evening – reminder of need for action 
 
All club officials, administrators, players, volunteers and partners are invited to join us for the YCSPL social event of the year – Saturday 15 November 2025, at OEC Sheffield, Penistone Road, Sheffield S6 2DE, 6.30pm for 7.15pm – cost is £36 per head. 
 
Clubs with four teams must purchase a minimum of eight places; clubs with three teams must purchase a minimum of six places; clubs with two teams must purchase a minimum of four places; and clubs with one team must purchase a minimum of two places. 
 
The closing date for ordering places is 27 October 2025. To order, please complete this form. Clubs will be invoiced for places – no payment will be taken on the night. 
 
2026 fixture planning – reminder of need for action 
 
The 2026 fixture planning questionnaire, which must be completed by all clubs (one return per club) by 24 October 2025 please.

The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation is holding a 'Black History Month' celebration on Thursday 23rd October at SADACCA 48 Wicker, Sheffield S3 8JB (18:00 - 20:00) with an evening of inspiration, history, and community pride. The event includes:

ECB Support Coach Course – for information 
 
The Doncaster course has now been rearranged for 15 February. 
 
Overseas professionals 2026 - for information 
 
We would like to draw clubs attention to the fact that the ECB have reverted to pre-Covid criteria for determining whether first class players qualify for an International Sports Persons Visa. The relevant qualification period is now five first class matches in the preceding 24 month period (rather than 36 months) . Please ensure you check this before spending time on players/agents who will not qualify for an International Sportspersons' Visa (ISP).
