2025 Annual General Meeting – formal notice
This is a formal notice that the League AGM will take place at Shaw Lane Sports Club, Barnsley on Wednesday 19 November. Any nominations for league officials or proposals for rule changes must be sent to Roger Pugh by 21 October. An agenda and full information will be sent to all clubs three weeks in advance of the meeting.
2025 Annual dinner & presentation evening – for action
Our annual dinner will take place on Saturday 15 November 2025, at OEC Sheffield, Penistone Road, Sheffield S6 2DE, 6.30pm for 7.15pm. All club officials, administrators, players, volunteers and partners are invited to join us for the YCSPL social event of the year. The cost is £36 per head.
Clubs with four teams must purchase a minimum of eight places; clubs with three teams must purchase a minimum of six places; clubs with two teams must purchase a minimum of four places; and clubs with one team must purchase a minimum of two places.
If your club does will not be able to attend, please return the form, entering '0' in the main menu box. Depending on the number of places sold, we may be able to apply a rebate to the charge levied as above.
The closing date for ordering places is 27 October 2025. To order, please complete this form. Clubs will be invoiced for places – no payment will be taken on the night.
The Guest Speaker will be Mr Mark Ramprakash, MBE, and the Master of Ceremonies is Mr Alex Fletcher, Whitley Hall CC. The menu is:
Leek & Potato Soup, Chive Cream
Traditional Braised Slow Roast Beef, Honey Glazed Carrots & Parsnip, Rich Onion Gravy or
Moroccan roasted vegetables in filo pastry, mint yogurt, harissa-scented couscous, date chutney
Baked white chocolate, raspberry & amaretti cheesecake, berry coulis

2025 individual awards - for information
We congratulate all our individual prize winners – see list below - and hope to see them at the Dinner to collect their awards.
2026 fixture planning – important - for action
The 2026 fixture planning questionnaire, which must be completed by all clubs (one return per club) has now been issued to clubs. Returns are required by 24 October 2025 please.
Please also note that:
the T20 Plate is on an opt in/opt out basis, with precedence given to Championship, then Division 1 clubs – note also that if a second XI is entered, Competition Rule 16 on player selection will apply
if your club wish to enter either the President’s Trophy or the Billy Oates Memorial Cup, but you are unsure which is applicable, please just show that you wish to enter team in one, and we will adjust as necessary. For reference, the criteria for entry into the different cup competitions is included in Competition Rule 30.

Hall of Fame - reminder
We will be inducting more worthy candidates into the League Hall of Fame at our dinner on 9 November. If there is anyone at your club that you would like us to consider for induction, please contact Roger Pugh by 12 October please.

Photographs - for information
All our photos from games in 2025 have now been uploaded onto our website. Clubs are free to use any photos if they wish, but those by John Hobson Photography should be duly credited. HD versions of all photos are available from Roger Pugh if required.
Safe Hands courses – for action
All Club Safeguarding Officers need to complete:
• Online Safeguarding Level 2 (SGL2) Personal Information - Safeguarding Level 2 (SGL2) - Yorkshire; and
• Face to face ‘Safe Hands Workshop' which is run by the local County Cricket Board
