Scoring issues from Steve Ward - for information

Thank you to all Clubs and scorers for their work in scoring games this season electronically. 97.75% of games have been scored using PCS Scorer Pro or PCS Scorer so far this season, which is a dramatic improvement from last season.
Scorers and the wider cricket public have noticed issues this season with Play Cricket, mainly due to scoring on the tablet. Unfortunately, tablets do not talk to the laptop in scoring terms. We urge all clubs to think about the method that they will use to score games next season. The laptop is the preferred option, and the League will support clubs/scorers in any way that that can by providing training, financial incentives and general advice.
Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 support will end in October 2025: Windows 10 End of Support. NV Play Cricket software will continue running on Windows 10 after this date, but support might be limited depending on Microsoft's policies. We strongly recommend upgrading to Windows 11 to continue receiving security and critical updates. Some computers might not support an upgrade to Windows 11, requiring you to purchase new hardware. More details: Windows 11 System Requirements. We suggest clubs consult their IT provider or retailer to check whether the club’s or scorer’s laptop can be upgraded to Windows 11. If a new laptop is needed, the Scoring Manager can provide advice on the best laptop to get, at the best price available (laptops have been secured at less than £160).

Trophies - action required

All League trophies, including individual awards and knock-out cups, must be returned to MS Sports, 163a, Masbrough Street, Rotherham, S60 1HW by 30th September please.
