Tickhill CC was founded in 1860. It is a local community-based club whose failities act as a social hub in the village. The pavilion boasts new changing room facilities and bar, which along with its large function room, makes it a very impressive facility. On the playing side, as members of the South Yorkshire Senior Cricket League, Tickhill made great advances over the last decade, culminating in their winner promotion to the YSPL as runners-up to Hallam in the SYSCL in 2016. Although they were relegated the following year, they came back strongly as SYSCL Champions in 2018 and consolidated with a top-half YSPL finish in 2019.

Treeton CC was formed in 1921. In their early years, the club played in the Hallamshire League and then the Sheffield League, of which they were champions in 1969. After that success, they left to join the South Riding section of the Yorkshire Council, which later became the SYSCL. Treeton won the SYSCL League Champions on eight occasions, second only to Elsecar. They have also won the Yorkshire Council Championship on four occasions and the Whitworth Cup five times. Treeton qualified to become founder members of the YSPL in 2016. Since finishing in tenth place in that first year, just 14 points outside the relegation zone, the club have since made big strides forward, with top-four finishes in each season.

Wakefield Thornes were formed in 1922 as the sports club of Patons & Baldwins textiles. They played in the Wakefield League until 1963 when they joined the Yorkshire Council’s Pontefract & District League. After the mill closed in 1973 the club became Wakefield Thornes, and they joined the Central Yorkshire League.
The creation of a successful junior section in 2002 was the big turning point for the club. In 2005, the first team were promoted to the CYCL first division, won the Jack Hampshire Cup in 2008, and the CYCL t20 title in 2015, when they were also runners-up in the CYCL.
On the restructure of Yorkshire cricket in 2016, Thornes joined the YSPL . They won the YSPL championship in each of its first three seasons, going on to win the White Rose Trophy as Yorkshire’s Premier League champions in 2016 and 2018. In 2019, they became the first YSPL winners of the Viking Yorkshire Leagues KO Cup.

Wath CC were one of the founder members of the South Yorkshire Senior Cricket League. The club, formed almost 110 years ago, owes a great deal to local brewer, Spedding Whitworth, who donated both the ground and £1,000 towards the cost of building the original pavilion in 1899. The latter burned down in 1981 and was subsequently rebuilt. The club aims to promote the game of cricket at all possible levels, and to endeavour to provide the best possible facilities for members and visitors. Wath CC currently field five senior teams, the first XI compete in the Championship division, with three other Saturday teams - two in the YCSPL and one in the Doncaster & Sheffield Alliance. The fourth Saturday team was added for the 2010 season due to the demand placed on the club to further develop the very large number of very talented youngsters at the club.

Wentworth CC are a long standing local community village cricket team with a history dating as far back as 1876 when the club was first founded. The club currently plays its home games at Clayfield Lane in the centre of the beautiful village of Wentworth, the home of the famous and historic Wentworth Woodhouse, just outside Rotherham. The club has been quite successful in recent times with several promotions gained and league titles won, as well as an appearance in the final of the Billy Oates cup in 2015.
The ground itself, which can be found just behind the Rockingham Arms pub, is one of the most stunning and picturesque grounds in the whole of South Yorkshire.
Being on the small side, the ground favours big-hitters, and usually provides exciting high scoring games .
Amongst the excellent facilities are mobile nets, covers and modern sightscreens as well as a state of the art artificial pitch.

Whitley Hall CC originated as the Whitley Pondlarks in the 19th century, playing on Whitley Lane with the nearby Norfolk Arms as the club’s headquarters. The club was disbanded in late 1924 following a storm which destroyed the pavilion, and George Harry Baxter, who had been associated with the club from around 1911, was chiefly responsible for the formation of the ‘modern’ Whitley Hall Cricket Club in 1925. In 1926, the club moved to its current ground, which, since 2007, has been known as Baxter Field. The tradition of long service synonymous with the Baxter family lives on, and Whitley is blessed with many loyal members who devote much time and effort to the club’s cause. The club is proud of its tradition as a family club with strong local ties, a welcoming atmosphere, and a desire to play cricket in the true spirit of the game. Successes have included winning the Yorkshire Council Championship in three times; the SYSCL Championship in 2010; the Black Sheep Champion of Champions Trophy in 2011 and 2012 (the first club to win that trophy two years in succession): the Whitworth Cup nine times; and most recently, the YSPL Jack Bland Trophy in 2020.

Wickersley Old Village CC has been in existence since the early 1890s. It moved to Northfield Lane in 1935, initially sharing the land with the local cattle. In 1970 the club joined the South Riding League, and won its 'C Division’ title. In 1977, the club bought the ground and in 1989 replaced the old wooden pavilion with a new modern clubhouse with much improved facilities, that has been further improved and extended in recent years. Its facilities are amongst the very best in South Yorkshire. In 1995, Wickersley celebrated the opening of their new electronic scoreboard, that is still in use today, by winning their first SYSCL championship. They won the SYSCL title on seven occasions; the Yorkshire Council Championship twice; and the Whitworth Cup five times. In 2016, Wickersley became one of the founder members of the YSPL, finishing fourth in the league in its inaugural season.
