Their proudest moment was beating Eastbourne in the National Knock-Out Cup final in 2000. The club have nurtured some of the biggest names in English cricket in Michael Vaughan, Richard Kettlebrough and Joe Root.

As founder members of the YSPL, Sheffield Collegiate have won the League T20 competition three times and also reached the 2019 national finals. They finished as runners-up to Wakefield Thornes in the YSPL in 2017 and 2018. Pavilion building works were completed for the 2019 season, and the club are very proud of their new facilities. About us - Sheffield United CC was formed in 1854, when several Sheffield cricket clubs were brought together under that name, the first use of ‘United’ in the name of a sports club in the UK. A new ground was built for the club at Bramall Lane, originally shared with Sheffield FC, then Sheffield Wednesday, before the club established Sheffield United FC in 1889. The cricket club was a founder member of the old Yorkshire League in 1933, leaving Bramall Lane to move to Bawtry Road in 1973. More recently the ground was purchased and developed by Sheffield Hallam University. SUCC has two Saturday teams in the YCSPL as well as a strong junior section.
